Chamber Scholarship

The Pointe Coupee Chamber of Commerce each year takes pride in awarding two (2) $500.00 scholarships to a graduating senior from two area high schools. These scholarships are awarded on a rotating basis between the four (4) area high schools within our parish. The scholarship criteria is based on the applicant's scholastic achievement, interest in continuing education, participation and leadership in school and community activities and reputation for good citizenship and moral character.

The Greater Pointe Coupee Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the winners of its 2007 Scholarship. This year's $500 scholarship winners are Colin Goodman from Catholic High School of Pointe Coupee and Ashley Hebert from Livonia High School.

The Chamber receives numerous applications from graduating seniors which makes the selection process a difficult one. The Chamber would like to express a sincere thank you to each senior who submitted a scholarship application and congratulations to the entire senior class of each high school in our parish.

In an effort to keep this program funded in future years, the Pointe Coupee Chamber of Commerce has established the P.C. Chamber Scholarship Fund at its April 2003 board meeting. This Scholarhsip Fund will help ensure the financial future of this wonderful program. If you would like to commemorate the efforts of the Chamber, please do so by donating to the Scholarship Fund.
