Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii franchisee Allen Stanczak has been named a 2026 Franchisee of the Year by the International Franchise Association. Stanczak, a multi-unit owner in Florida, was recognized at the IFA26 Advocacy Summit in Washington, D.C., held Sept. 14-16. The award cites entrepreneurship, community outreach, workforce development, and service to others. In 2025, Stanczak signed a three-unit agreement covering territory from Jacksonville Beach to Crescent Beach.

Recognition For Franchise Ownership

The IFA awards recognize franchise owners nominated by their brands for community involvement, workforce development, support for fellow franchisees, and the entrepreneurial spirit. Recipients are selected from IFA member brands across industries and communities in the United States.

Matt Haller, President and CEO of the IFA, said:

“Franchisees of the Year demonstrate what franchising is all about – individuals who have committed their lives and careers to the betterment of those around them, building something bigger than themselves. Through their leadership they give back to their communities and support other franchisees, all while exemplifying the entrepreneurial spirit at the heart of franchising. We are proud to recognize Stanczak with IFA's highest honor for individual franchisees and celebrate his commitment to making a difference both within his business and beyond.”

Florida Development Agreement

Before joining Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, Stanczak spent more than a decade as a multi-unit franchise owner in the pet services industry. His three-unit agreement covers a stretch of Florida’s coast from Jacksonville Beach to Crescent Beach.

Stanczak also participates in the brand’s Franchise Advisory Council. The company describes him as an advocate for the franchise network and a local operator focused on gathering people and supporting the community in Florida’s oldest city.

Building Local Opportunity

Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii has more than 45 U.S. franchise locations, with more than 100 additional shops in various stages of development. The company said Stanczak has become a resource for its franchise network since signing his Florida development agreement.

Tom Wylie, President of Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii, said:

“Allen's journey reflects how franchising can strengthen communities and create opportunity for the locals. He has embodied every quality the IFA Franchisee of the Year award was created to honor. We are very proud to see all his achievements honored.”
