EAIGLE and Loblaw Companies Limited are expanding their partnership to deploy AI-powered gate automation across multiple Loblaw yards and distribution centers. The rollout builds on early results in reducing processing times, enhancing the driver experience and increasing data accuracy at gates and in yards. EAIGLE’s AVAC™ technology is designed to automate routine gate processes, improve visibility and support vehicle movement through distribution centers. The companies are focusing on vehicle validation, freight-data capture and live information at the gate.

Gate Automation Across Distribution Centers

Loblaw is scaling EAIGLE’s Vision AI technology to improve efficiency and visibility across yard and distribution operations. The platform uses computer vision to validate vehicles, capture critical data and support real-time decision-making while reducing operational disruption.

Wael Yehia, Vice President, National Transportation at Loblaw, said:

“We're always looking for practical ways to improve how products move through our network so we can better serve our customers. Working with Canadian innovators like EAIGLE allows us to leverage technologies that can help improve efficiency, support our operations teams and keep products moving reliably across our network.”

Working With Existing Systems

EAIGLE’s platform is designed to integrate with existing WMS, TMS, YMS and ERP systems. The company says its computer vision technology can turn the distribution gate into a source of live intelligence rather than a point of delay.

The system is intended to support vehicle access control and real-time freight-data capture across distribution facilities. EAIGLE describes its platform as a tool for addressing security, transportation and operational challenges in supply chain and logistics operations.

Amir Hoss, Chief Executive Officer at EAIGLE, said:

“This is about scaling what works in real operations, a practical and measurable use of applied AI in supply chains. It should strengthen existing workflows, not replace them. What we're seeing with Loblaw is a clear example of how Vision AI can be deployed at scale to improve consistency, throughput, and visibility across facilities.”

Focus On Yard Operations

The expanded partnership reflects Loblaw’s focus on improving efficiency, visibility and the movement of goods across its distribution network. EAIGLE and Loblaw position the rollout as a Canadian collaboration aimed at strengthening supply chain operations through applied AI.
