Makera is marking its fifth anniversary with special savings on its desktop CNC machines through September 30. The company positions its Carvera Air machine for small businesses and independent entrepreneurs seeking to prototype faster, produce specialized components, and handle small-batch work in their own workshops. Makera says Carvera Air can help users reduce reliance on external suppliers and maintain greater control over production.

CNC Work for Small Workshops

Traditional CNC machining can require industrial equipment, dedicated facilities, and specialized expertise. Makera presents Carvera Air as a compact platform intended to make professional-grade CNC capabilities more accessible for entrepreneurs and smaller operations.

The company says the desktop machine supports faster prototyping and the production of specialized components, giving businesses another option for manufacturing work that may otherwise be outsourced.

Knife Components and Custom Molds

Jesse Jarosz, Founder of Jarosz Knives, said:

“CNC gave me an opportunity to effectively add greater complexity to my knives in a way that was actually practical from a business standpoint.”

Veteran machinist Wylder Barrows uses Carvera Air for independent projects, including custom molds, specialty components, and injection molds for small-scale products. He reports that his machining side business covered the machine’s cost in approximately six months.

Wylder Barrows said:

“My mold-making side hustle has paid for the cost of the Air.”

Specialized Motorcycle Parts

Rory Turnham of RS Junkie uses Carvera Air to manufacture specialized motorcycle components for people maintaining and upgrading older two-stroke motorcycles. The application is aimed at lower-volume production, where tooling costs and minimum order requirements can make conventional manufacturing difficult for niche products.

Anniversary Savings Available

Makera’s fifth-anniversary offers are available through September 30. Customers can review the promotion and available offers on the company’s fifth-anniversary page.

Josh Zhang, CEO at Makera, said:

“Small businesses are built around creativity, craftsmanship, and the ability to solve unique problems. Our mission is to provide creators with the tools they need to turn their ideas into real products and grow their businesses.”
