Tacta Opens Singapore Facility for Glove Production
Tacta Systems Singapore facility will produce Tacta Glove systems ahead of planned robotics customer deployments in early 2027.

Tacta Systems has opened an office and production facility in Woodlands, Singapore, to manufacture its Tacta Glove and expand its Skill Capture system ahead of planned customer deployments in early 2027. The site is Tacta’s first manufacturing and engineering base outside the United States. It will support manufacturers in electronics, AI infrastructure and automotive sectors as the company increases production capacity. Tacta plans to accelerate hiring in manufacturing, engineering and test engineering during the fourth quarter.
Glove Production Supports Skill Capture
The Tacta Glove is worn by skilled workers while they perform tasks, collecting force, motion and temperature data alongside video data. Tacta uses that information to teach its robotic hands new skills. The company’s TactaBot combines the Tacta Hand, Skill Capture system and Dexterous Intelligence AI engine for manufacturing work.
Expanding production in Singapore is intended to allow the company to deploy more Skill Capture systems as it begins work with customers at scale.
Vikram Pavate, co-founder and CEO at Tacta Systems, said:
“When we unveiled Tacta, we showed that robots can finally have the touch and dexterity needed for high-value manufacturing work. Now the focus is on scaling that technology. Singapore has the manufacturing expertise, engineering talent, and semiconductor ecosystem to help us do that. This facility gives us a strong base to grow from as we move toward customer deployments next year.”
Partnerships for Sensor Manufacturing
Tacta is working with the A*STAR Institute of Microelectronics to begin scaling production of tactile sensors used in its technology. The company says the Singapore operation will place it closer to customers, investors and technology partners in the region while adding manufacturing capacity for local deployments.
The expansion is supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board and EDBI, a strategic investor in Tacta. EDBI is an investment arm of SG Growth Capital, the investment platform of EDB and Enterprise Singapore.
Png Cheong Boon, Chairman of Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), said:
“Tacta's advanced robotics and tactile sensing technologies will push the frontier of industrial automation and physical AI deployment across sectors. With Singapore as its first manufacturing and engineering base outside of the US, and launchpad for global expansion, Tacta's presence here will strengthen our advanced manufacturing ecosystem and create exciting job opportunities for Singaporeans.”
A Base for Customer Deployments
For manufacturers considering robotic systems for high-value physical tasks, Tacta’s Singapore facility adds regional production and engineering support as the company prepares for deployments in early 2027. The company’s immediate focus is scaling Tacta Glove production and the tactile sensors that support its skill-capture process.
