MOYOM Biotech has completed a financing round from the Cathay Consumer Co-Creation Fund, managed by Cathay Capital, to support international growth for its regenerative aesthetics business. The fund was jointly established by Cathay Capital, L’Oréal and the Shanghai Jing’an District Government. MOYOM plans to use the financing to advance clinical translation, seek further regulatory approvals and enter overseas markets. Its flagship Aphranel® brand has been introduced in more than 700 medical aesthetics clinics in China since its May 2025 commercial launch.

Focus on Regenerative Biomaterials

Founded in 2018, MOYOM develops nanomedical biomaterials and Class III absorbable implantable medical devices. Its work centers on calcium hydroxylapatite, or CaHA, regenerative materials used in aesthetic medicine.

Aphranel® is positioned by the company as a CaHA biostructurer intended to provide immediate structural support, regenerative stimulation and complete biodegradation. The product platform combines ACD-MT® raspberry-shaped through-hole CaHA microspheres with PCD-ETT® physically cross-linked CMC gel technology.

Regulatory Steps Support Expansion

Aphranel® received Class III medical device registration from China’s National Medical Products Administration in February 2025. It later received certification under the European Union Medical Device Regulation in May 2026.

Those approvals provide a regulatory base for the company’s international plans. MOYOM said it will continue investing in next-generation regenerative biomaterials while pursuing additional market authorizations.

Capital for Overseas Markets

The new financing connects MOYOM with Cathay Capital’s investment ecosystem across consumer, healthcare and technology. For aesthetic clinics and distribution partners, the company’s expansion plans point to a broader availability of its CaHA-based product platform outside China, subject to further regulatory approvals.

MOYOM intends to use the investment to bring its biomaterial technology to international markets and build Aphranel® as a regenerative aesthetics brand with global reach.
