Hush Security Raises $30M for AI Agent Governance
Hush Security AI agent governance funding raises $30 million to expand identity controls for enterprise AI agents.

Hush Security has raised $30 million in Series A funding to extend its identity-based controls to enterprise AI agents. Akamai Technologies joined the round as a strategic investor, alongside returning investors Battery Ventures and YL Ventures. The financing brings Hush’s total capital raised to $41 million, less than a year after the company emerged from stealth. The company plans to expand engineering and sales teams, particularly in the United States, while adding support for enterprise IAM and agentic ecosystems.
Identity Controls for AI Agents
Gartner forecasts that the average Fortune 500 company will run more than 150,000 AI agents by 2028, up from fewer than 15 last year. Omdia research indicates that 96% of organizations are using governance models not built for AI agents.
Hush registers agents centrally, removes standing credentials, and grants scoped just-in-time permissions at runtime. The platform logs each action and provides a centralized kill switch.
Ramanath Iyer, Chief Strategist at Akamai, said:
“We've spent decades protecting enterprises from rapidly evolving cybersecurity threats. Every major shift in internet usage and traffic has forced a rethink of how enterprises are secured. AI agents are driving the next transformation, and identity is the piece most companies haven't solved yet. That's the layer Hush is building.”
Discovery, Control and Audit
Hush’s agentic workforce expansion identifies desktop assistants, enterprise AI agents, and custom-built agents, including unmanaged or shadow systems. It maps the MCPs, tools, and resources an agent can reach and use.
Companies can register agents, connect them to existing permissions, enforce least agency by default, and apply just-in-time access. The platform also maintains an audit trail across AI agent interactions for security investigations, governance, and compliance.
Micha Rave, CEO and co-founder at Hush Security, said:
“Every company already knows how to manage identity for its people and its applications. But now software acts autonomously, on its own initiative, inside your most sensitive systems. AI agents need strict identity, not just API keys. We solved that for non-human identities, and now we're extending governance to AI agents.”
Enterprise Adoption and Expansion
Kyndryl has deployed Hush internally and has begun reselling the platform to its enterprise clients. Hush will also pursue deeper integrations with Enterprise AI platforms and expand corporate partnerships.
Adeel Saeed, SVP, CTO Global Cyber Resiliency at Kyndryl, said:
“Our collaboration with Hush is rooted in a shared security philosophy: identity is the ultimate control point for the modern agentic workforce. Hush protects both the autonomous agents and the infrastructure they inhabit, allowing enterprises to deploy AI without sacrificing speed. Believing deeply in this unified approach to identity security, our own organization is working with Hush at scale globally.”
Funding for Controlled Deployment
The funding gives Hush resources to build its teams and product support around enterprise AI deployments. Its approach centers on replacing standing access with permissions that are scoped, logged, and revocable.
