Action1 Doubles Endpoint Coverage for October
Action1 doubles endpoint coverage through October, giving free users 400 endpoints and paid customers twice their current capacity.

Action1 will double endpoint coverage at no added cost for its users from October 1 through 31, 2026. The cybersecurity company’s Cybersecurity Awareness Month offer raises free accounts from 200 to 400 endpoints, while paid customers receive twice their current coverage. The initiative supports OpenAI’s call for collective action on cyber defense. It gives small organizations, nonprofits, consultants, individual users, and larger enterprises additional capacity to patch devices without new spending.
Expanded Coverage During October
The offer applies to both new and existing Action1 users. Organizations can use the additional endpoint capacity to bring previously unmanaged systems into their patching workflow and address vulnerabilities across more devices.
For companies with limited IT resources, the temporary increase may create room to cover endpoints that have been left outside routine remediation. Larger organizations can use the capacity to extend coverage across a broader endpoint estate where consistent patching may be harder to manage.
Patching Capacity and Risk
Action1 points to its 2026 Software Vulnerability Ratings Report, which found that critical vulnerabilities more than doubled and active exploitation rose by 254%. The company positions patching capacity as a practical constraint for organizations that know about risks but lack the resources to remediate them promptly.
Mike Walters, President and Co-founder at Action1, said:
“Patching is the foundation of cyber defense, and we believe it shouldn't ever be treated as a premium feature. Yet too many systems still go unpatched, and AI-enabled attackers are moving faster than ever. This October, we want to change that pattern by giving organizations and individual users room to bring their entire environment up to date.”
How Organizations Can Use It
Businesses using Action1 can apply the expanded coverage during October to patch twice as many endpoints at no extra cost. Free users receive 400 endpoints instead of 200, and paid customers receive double their current endpoint allowance.
