JunkStart Opens Its First Franchise in Omaha
JunkStart Omaha franchise opening begins operations as the company launches its first franchised location with pay-by-weight pricing.

JunkStart has begun operations at its first franchised location in Omaha, Nebraska. The pay-by-weight junk removal franchise is led locally by John Hogan, Quincy Hogan and Tim Gorham. The opening gives the company its first franchise operation as it expands nationally. The Omaha location will serve homeowners and commercial customers.
Pay By Weight Pricing
JunkStart prices removal work solely by weight rather than volume-based estimates. The model is intended to give customers a clear price for the material being removed.
Tim Gorham, Co-owner at JunkStart Omaha, said:
“Transparency is one thing that has been missing in the junk removal industry. JunkStart has developed a model that clears up that gray area when it comes to pricing. It's based solely on the weight, so there is no guessing. Homeowners and businesses get a clear, honest price for what is being removed. That's what separates us in our market and industry.”
Omaha Ownership Team
John Hogan brings franchising and business ownership experience to the operation, including work as co-owner and chief development officer of the Home Instead franchise network. Gorham leads sales and marketing after owning several service businesses. Quincy Hogan supports the location’s daily operations.
Franchise Expansion Model
JunkStart provides franchise owners with a model designed to support expansion while limiting excessive operating costs. Its customer base can include homeowners, property managers, contractors and local businesses.
Daniel McCarty, Founder at JunkStart, said:
“Opening our first franchised location is an important step in JunkStart's growth. John, Quincy and Tim bring the leadership experience and entrepreneurial mindset we want throughout our franchise system. Their Omaha location will help demonstrate how our pay-by-weight model can create a unique customer experience while supporting a sustainable business opportunity for franchise owners.”
A First Location For JunkStart
The Omaha opening marks the first franchise location for JunkStart, which was founded in 2022. The company’s pay-by-weight model uses onboard scale technology for pricing.
