TYGES Releases Free BCBA Salary Calculator
BCBA Salary Calculator from TYGES uses real placement data, showing a $90,000 median salary and compensation ranges for BCBAs.

TYGES International has released a free BCBA Salary Calculator based on compensation accepted in its placements since early 2025. The executive and professional search firm reports a median placed salary of $90,000, an average of $94,500, and a range from $72,000 to more than $125,000. Most placed BCBAs earned between $90,000 and $100,000. The tool is available without an email signup.
Placement Data Sets The Benchmark
The calculator is intended for clinicians, hiring managers, and finance leaders comparing compensation for Board Certified Behavior Analysts. Users can enter years of certification, role type, and qualifying credentials to receive an estimated base salary, applicable premiums, a typical sign-on bonus, and projected first-year compensation.
It also shows the distribution of TYGES placement salaries, allowing users to compare an estimate with completed placement outcomes. TYGES reports that roughly one in five placed BCBAs reached $100,000 or more, while one in eight earned below $80,000.
Carol Zimmerman, Director of the Behavioral Health Practice at TYGES, said:
“Every BCBA and every hiring manager wants the same thing: a number they can actually trust. The problem is that most salary data reflects who chooses to report, not who actually got hired. We placed these candidates. We know what they accepted. That is the difference between a guess and a benchmark, and it is why we made this tool free and open to everyone in the field.”
A Tool For Compensation Planning
TYGES said its placement figures aligned with independent national sources including Indeed and ZipRecruiter, which place the national average between $89,000 and $95,000. Its earlier ABA Care Deserts analysis found that roughly 290,000 more BCBA-level clinicians are needed than are currently certified.
The firm presents the calculator as a directional benchmark, not a guarantee. Actual compensation can vary by organization, location, individual profile, and negotiation. Users can also review the full compensation analysis supporting the calculator.
Free Access For Employers And Clinicians
For behavioral health employers, the calculator provides a reference point when setting pay ranges for open roles.
