Tropical Smoothie Cafe Refreshes Brand Experience
Tropical Smoothie Cafe brand transformation adds a new identity, app and web experience as the chain expands across 44 states.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe has introduced a new brand identity and guest experience as it expands nationwide. The fast-casual chain reported more than $1.6 billion in system sales as of July 2026, 13 million loyalty members and its 1,700th cafe opening in April. Developed with branding agency JKR, the transformation will begin rolling out across cafes and digital platforms in the coming weeks. The company has a pipeline across 44 states and is on track to reach more than 1,800 cafes by year-end.
New Identity Across Touchpoints
The update is built around Tropical Smoothie Cafe’s “Eat Some Good!” philosophy, with tropical presented as a state of mind across in-cafe and digital interactions. The identity includes a redesigned logo, a standalone “Palm T” icon, Palm Frond Green and Sunset Orange, plus new illustration, photography and motion.
JB Hartford, Executive Creative Director at JKR, said:
“When you step into a Tropical Smoothie Cafe, you feel it before you can name it — the sights, the smells, the sounds. We saw a chance to treat 'tropical' less as a place and more as a feeling, one guests could carry with them everywhere, matching the energy and craveability that's always defined the food itself.”
Digital Ordering Update Planned
Over the next several months, Tropical Smoothie Cafe plans to introduce a redesigned web and app experience. The company said guests will be able to browse the menu, customize favorites, access loyalty benefits and check out through the app, online or in-cafe.

Growth Plans Continue
The company said it has invested in operations and menu innovation over the past two years. Its loyalty program increased 25% in a year to 13 million members, while system sales surpassed $1.6 billion as of July 2026.
